As well as competing in Outlaw Street in my Supra in 2017 I have also been taking part in the Pro Street Drag Series run by Shakespeare County Raceway.
The series was originally conceived in 2008 as a RWYB series aimed at Jap cars and ran until 2012.
The series was reintroduced this year and was run over 5 rounds at Shakey with a couple of the rounds co-inciding with Outlaw Street rounds.
Cars are loosely grouped into ET brackets 10.00 - 10.49, 10.50 - 10.99, 11.00 - 11.49, upto 14.00 and over. Points are awarded for the quickest time in each bracket. There are bonus points for the quickest ET of the day and best reaction time. In addition bonus points are awarded for taking part in all 5 rounds.
I was able to compete in all 5 rounds and was quickest in 2 rounds. Overall I ended up Runner Up in the series and received a very nice trophy!
The winner ironically the slowest car in the Series - but had the quickest reaction times in 4 rounds!
We will have to wait and see if the Pro Street Drag Series runs again at Shakey or elsewhere!
