I have this problem which only happens at the top end of the strip when using nos. It goes onto limp mode with the code P00f1, engine intake temperature sensor fault. Only happens with too much gas, but there is plenty of fuel left judging by the smoke. Looks like the temp goes below acceptable levels.
Management decision is open wastegate to dump pressure. Could I use a different wastegate controller to overide the factory one? http://www.turbosmartusa.com/technical- ... tallation/ That would/should not effect the boost even on limp mode?
Life is more confusing with a diesel.

could you not just reprogram the ecu for min and max on the air temp ?

Do u run a intercooler? Silly question I no but maybe it needs uprating or to be boxed in better behind your bumper for more flow through it to bring charge temps down?

While im here is your pt vw powered? Cant remember which engines went in them?

Mercedes OM611 in it.
Update on it, it's now going quicker without nos than last year on the motor. Put nos in now and goes into limp mode every time at 1/8 mile-ish, 4th gear.
Today's question is, what happens when nos goes in, does boost pressure go up? Already on 1.5 bar pressure on a 2.5 MAP sensor on the motor? i.e. flat out before the squirt. Do I need a 3 bar sensor?

BTW. Air temp IAT has been in 3 places with different readings, fine on road, limp on gas no matter where.

This won't help at all but surely a code poof 1 says the motors a bit camp and doesn't like being thrashed !!!!

Never thrashed it (much). Just a few more mods before the end of the season to be tried. As for the previous comment, I did 5 years in the Merchant Navy ;)
