Another car i would like to see in the flesh. Welcome Seb hopefully you may be able to get it done to run in the series. What kind of times do similar spec beetles run?

Oh yes the suicide doors rock! 8-)

cheers guys the doors im afraid i wish i never made.

the motor is a 1915cc turbo. (T4oe)
Autolinea ali case,
counterweighted welded 69mm DPR Crank
Bore 94mm on forged wiscos stroker b pistons
Steel h beam rods 5.7"
32mm ultra light weight Scat followers
Manton dual taper pushrods (still to be cut to length)
Jaycee 94mm barrels (again cut to length for the short throw crank but stroker pistons) makes the engine 3mm or so narrower which is always good.
the CAM is a TSC10 turbo Cam (completly the wrong cam but il change it if it goes flat on fire up) need a bigger cam to make the high RPM that i crave! so currently its a really bad combo
Competition Eliminator CB CNC ported heads, 46x40 valves (trying to save some money to buy titanium valves)
straight cut gears on the CAM- also set to -4' on crank

the oil system is full followed with a 30mm drive gear. ali rad from Concept racing (thanks to bob) mocal filter holder/CB thermastat.
Stock cooling less the dog hose fan which is a later model which is wider for more cooling.

I have no idea what this motor should be capable of ive seen motors similar to this make over 300 horse (with shit heads where as mine are amazing with no intercooler), but i think ive shafted myself with the CAM,

Its going to be on Omex and id like to aim initially for sub 13's but its got a stock box so might have to give it a miss till i get a better one.

But beween you and me i want sub 12's as i know johnson is aiming for 12's

Made up my omex loom, it just needs TPS clip, and CPS assembly once i mount the tb.

Today made my pushrods. Using Mantons dual tapers. Took forever but i think ive done them right.

Gotta get my fuel injector holders then weld them into the inlets..

Jobs left...

WEld in injector holders
Make fuel lines
Grind gear box out to fit fly.
Shim Crank up fit seal and mount fly
fit engine again
Mount tb plate
Weld up turbo flange
Possible make up some sort of oil breather recircular thing.
Possibly cut up fuel tank to make a built in surge tank...still thinking about making something nice, got a few ideas floating around.
MAP

Watch Gear box shred itself.

yeah man its all about slammed stockers :D

Cant wait till its built and running. Got to limit it to ~150hp&lbs  tho, thats when my gearbox is going to break. it still on the 1966 box, No LSD, shit gear ratios, and even worse drive shafts, and the RP is no different from 58,

So runna MAP it with no boost and lazy ignition.

and collect parts on the side to build the box. i might be able to get several other boxes and clobber together a box made from the other bits, basically picking and choosing my gears, RP, LSD etc etc.

by the looks of it i only need to get two boxs to get an ok one, then fit tool steel shafts, and make a mainshaft on the laith....

who knows its only an idea on paper at the mo.

seb
