Round OS-7 2016
Shakespeare County Raceway
Late Summer Madness RWYB Weekend
24th to 25th September

Round OS-7 was Outlaw Streets first return to SCR since July & members returned in force with over 25 members in attendance all keen to try and chip away at those PB's, which it seems quite a few managed to do.

With at least seven members setting new PB's, an especially those who favoured the pony car with no fewer than three Mustang owning members setting fresh PB's including both OS-25 David Onken & OS-29 Matt Eveleigh in their late model Mustangs & OS-37 Chris Richards in his twin turbo'd Cobra Mustang.

Also breaking new records were John Latham in his PT Cruiser who managed to break both into the 13's & the 100mph terminal speed & Rob Leyman in his twin turbo'd LS1 C10 pickup who after a season of chasing found that elusive 10 second run.

However it wasn't all fun & games for everyone with OS-19 David Mahoney suffering a leaking front oil seal on his LS1 twin turbo'd gen 1 Camaro, this would normally see most people loading the car onto the trailer & heading to the bar for a sulk.

Not the case with Dave, who sent out an SOS tracked down an oil seal and proceeded to strip the front off of the Camaro in the pits in the hope of being able to race on the Sunday, which he achieved, 'that's the Outlaw Street Spirit'.

At every round of the 2016 series up for grabs to the fastest Reaction Time of the meet is a Joe & Co engraved tankard & £25 prize money

The winner of the OS-7 2016 Joe & Co sponsored Reaction Time Trophy with a seriously impressive RT of:

0.005 was OS-10 Troy Attree in his LS1 Camaro

Not only did this RT win the weekend trophy, it now is the top RT of the season and main contender to win the 2016 Fastest RT trophy.

There was:

0.177 between the top 6, 0.104 between the top 3 & 0.0025 between 1st & 2nd place!!

Top 6 Reaction Times of OS-7

1. 0.005 RT OS-10 Troy Attree in his LS1 Camaro
2. 0.030 RT OS-29 Matt Eveleigh in his late model Mustang
3. 0.109 RT OS-18 Vic Fisher in his V6 Mustang
4. 0.144 RT OS-68 Debbie Taylor in her late model Mustang
5. 0.173 OS-26 GR630 George Ralph in his Triumph
6. 0.182 OS-9 Lord Riley Man Rob Leman in his C10 pickup truck

As with every points round of the 2016 series, up for grabs to the highest points scorer of the round is a years FREE subscription to American Car Magazine.

As you can only win the subscription once per season & OS-32 Pete Jackson won a subscription at the start of the season the OS-7 subscription passes to second place winner:

OS-9 Rob Leyman in his C10 Pickup with 221 points

Top 6 points scorers OS-7

1. 222 points OS-32 Pete Jackson in his 1932 Ford Coupe
2. 221 points OS-09 Rob Leyman in his C10 Pickup
3. 217 points OS-42 Nigel Jenkins in his SN95 Mustang

6. 214 points OS-10 Troy Attree in his LS1 Camaro
6. 214 points OS-26 George Ralph in his Triumph
6. 214 points OS-16 David Searle in his LS1 Monaro

Currently there are:
481 points between the top 12
100 points between the top 6
16 points between the top 3
1 point between 1st & 2nd place

With ONLY 1 round left of the 2016 season it's all still to play for, and on looking at the breakdown of points this is without a doubt the closest round of Outlaw Street we've ever run...!
