Below is the provisional calender for next season, just waiting on final confirmation from the tracks.

The major change you will all see is that Dragstalgia isn't on the calender, this isn't a typo, Santa Pod contacted me today and due to a number of class changes & over subscription this year they have planned a number of changes for Dragstalgia 2017 and one of those changes is that they can't accomodate an Outlaw Street round at the event anymore and thus we are unable to attend.

As such the 2017 provisional calender is as follows:

4 meets at Santa Pod, 4 meets at Shakespeare County, 2 Saturday Night Special night race meets an all the usual favourites.

OS-1
Santa Pod
13th to 14th May
Saturday 13th
Saturday Night Special (night racing)
Sunday 14th

27th to 29 May
YANKS / Gary's Picnic weekend

OS-3
Shakespeare County Raceway
10th to 11th June

Sunday 20th

I can start to plan my trip to Summit at Tallmadge then, and a bit of Funny Cars. And maybe the kids.

Thats a proper Shitter, Does that mean there will be no pit space then? Might have to go and join the outlaw anglia crew for that weekend then.

Yes we've lost Dragstalgia, however I have mapped out a full seasons racing regardless of this.

An remember although not confirmed yet 2017 may be Shakeys last year an we've 4 rounds there including Halloween so make the best of it while you can.

REMEMBER these dates are currently provisional, I'll let you all know as soon as confirmed.

Frankly I'm not that bothered! Dragstalgia is a great event to watch at but we were bumped out this year. Which made our 2. Saturday runs not really enough for me. A Saturday night special will give us loads more runs and if I want to spectate the hot rod drags and nostalgia nats had much better cacklefests

Am I gutted we've lost Dragstalgia, yes I am, I put a lot of work into us going, racing, pairing at the event over the years, an I did have a number of conversations with the Pod yesterday to see if there was a way around this however it's not to be.

We had a lot of good years at Dragstalgia an it is a cracking event, however events evolve and that's the case with 2017.

We've a full calender of meets for next year many of which we've raced at for years an enjoy.

Also with no Dragstalgia in '17 it means there's no need for a B meet which is actually a good thing as it stops the fraction of members across events due to vehicle age.
