Outlaw Street 2014 Race Series
Report by Mark Wallington

OS-5
21st MOPAR EURONATIONALS

At Santa Pod
Friday 25th July to Sun 27th July

The MOPARS has always been an will always be a firm favourite for Outlaw Street members, what V8 petrol head can't but enjoy three solid days of wall to wall muscle cars & drag racing banter.

This years MOPARS was as always a big turn out for Outlaw Street with over 40 members in attendance and 25+ cars racing across the weekend, OS-62 Doug Harwood was out to play in his newly acquired Barracuda spending the weekend hot lapping to get settled into the car.

OS-47 Eric Humphreys in his turbo'd '69 Firebird & Andrew Murton in his 540 V8 powered Camaro had some friendly head to head racing which saw some of the closet and best racing of the weekend between the two muscle cars.

We also had OS-61 Linden Shepperson join for his first 'dial in' of the year, keen to chase down his Dad's PB's, this now means Outlaw Street has FIVE father & son teams & a total of 10 cars all competing against each others PB's, which shows that Outlaw Street has achieved it's original aim of bringing 'new blood' into drag racing.

OS-5 & OS-5b were a joint round (meaning the points were available across the 2 rounds), this is due to the no FWD entry rules at the MOPARS, which although last year caused issue due to having quite a few FWD cars in the series, this year didn't which meant the extra round OS-5b wasn't needed.

Big thanks from all at Outlaw Street to the track staff & MOPAR crew for making yet another great Euronationals, were already looking forward to 2015's.
